You’re not planning a wedding for the sake of having a wedding. You’re bringing the people who matter most to a villa in Istria for a week, with guests travelling from Germany, the USA and Croatia. We want to preserve what it felt like to have everyone in the same place at the same time. The laughter, the new connections, the way people look after each other, and all the little moments you won’t see happening.
The people are the story
You're bringing together your families, your chosen family, and many people who are meeting for the first time. We pay attention to what happens between them, so your photographs become a record of the relationships that make up your whole world.
Present, not performed
You don't want to spend your wedding performing for a camera. We use gentle direction when it helps and documentary awareness when it doesn't, so you can stay immersed in the people around you while we tune into what's happening.

Drummers leading your guests in, a bilingual ceremony everyone can follow, handwritten letters your guests will cherish waiting at every place setting, and Tobi's grandmother teaching everyone a Croatian dance. We take the time to understand what you value most, so we can capture how you show your people love, and the look on their faces when they find the details you've chosen for them.
The moments you couldn't have planned
The most meaningful photographs are impossible to put on a shot list: a toast that catches you off guard, a tear you didn’t see coming, a new connection forming over dinner. We leave room for those moments to happen rather than filling the day with things to photograph.
Friends who've done this before
You make the decisions, and we bring the experience. We give you a timeline to start from and honest advice on the light, the locations and the flow of the day, including three short portrait breaks for romantic photos of just the two of you. Then you can hand off the plan and live the day.

Canadian warmth meets European know-how
We’re Alecia and Patrick, a husband-and-wife team from Canada who have lived and worked in Europe since 2013. Weddings have taken us across Wales, Germany, Italy and Austria, and we’ve learned how they really work here: the timelines, the venues, the vendors, and guest lists that span languages and countries.
Our approach is honest, documentary storytelling with a refined editorial eye. We’re watching for the hand squeezes, the laughter between speeches, the quiet awe before everything begins.
We’ll drive down from our home in Miesbach, so there are no flight delays or lost luggage, and all our equipment travels with us, with backups for every piece.
